Green Team Volunteers
The
Green Team relies on volunteers to lead our day and residential projects.
Volunteers usually have some experience of conservation work or youth
work. Without the support of these leaders, the work of the Green Team
would not be possible, and we are very grateful for your continued support!
If you would be interested in working with 14-25
year olds through a range of environmental activities and could spare
5 or 6 weekends a year then please get in touch. Experience of running
conservation tasks and working with young people is useful, but training
can be given in first aid, leadership, conservation skills, minibus driving,
environmental games and activities and the John Muir Award.
See below for our training
programme for 2008.
"Just a quick note to say a massive thank
you to you for the fantastic weekend at Wiston Lodge. I had such a brilliant
time and gained so much from the weekend. I was amazed by how much enthusiasm
everyone had and it was truly infectious! The organisation that must have
gone in to such a weekend must have been phenomenal and its a credit to
you both that everyone had an amazing time! I am really looking forward
to my first Green Team adventure and feel excited, confident and organised
to do it! Thank you again. " Mellony Bertram, volunteer leader
